This Glenmorangie was finished on Burgundy wine casks. The only other whisky I’ve had likei t was the BenRiach 17 Year Old Burgundy Wood Finish, which I did not like all that much. Let us see if Glenmorangie fares any better. The nose is very sweet with orangettes (orange gum in pure chocolate), honey, cake and something that reminds of rosehip....

Glenmorangie Burgundy Finish

As the colour of this whisky suggest, the burgundy finish is very present. All Concord grape juice at the nose and the palate with a very sweet and long finish. All the qualities you expect from the men of Tain are there. This is one of the best red wine finish I have tasted so far.
