Been sitting around for a few years ... surprisingly large amount remaining. Very light straw colour. Mellow hay character with some sweet candy nose. First taste is light and soft lowland. Some heat, but very simple and straight forward. Tiny touch of honey with some green peppercorn.

Rosebank 1981 22 Year Old

The Rare Malts Selection from Diageo already boasts 4 Rosebank. A 19yo from 1979, a 20yo from 1979, a 20yo from 1981 and a 22yo from 1981. We are tasting the final one. The nose, once you get past the alcohol, bursts with pears and lime, but is also slightly farmy. Freshly cut grass and hay. A mild hint of dried figs. A whiff of apricot marmalade....
